As your [link url=]Surrey Orthodontic Specialists[/link], at MadukeBulat we pride ourselves in holding a high-level of credentials, and staying current with the industry standards. We continually further our training to stay top of our field, in order to provide you with optimal orthodontic care.

History – Constantly In The Making

Dr. Maduke and Dr. Bulat – the joined forces behind MadukeBulat – are actively involved in local study clubs. As well, they have both proudly sat as the President of the BC Society of Orthodontists, with Dr. Bulat being the immediate Past-President.

Add to that Dr. Maduke’s involvement in the MLA network. This is an initiative of the BC Dental Association, that keeps our local MLA’s informed regarding currenty issues in the field of dentisty. In addition, Dr. Maduke offers her services as an
Examiner at RCDC, which is a specialty examining board.

Dr. Maduke has been involved as a clinical instructor at UBC – from 1999 until 2012. She is currently on sabbatical but plans to return to continue to give back to her profession by educating our future dentists!

Dental Specialists – A Mouthful of Credentials

Where a general dentist is qualified to carry out most dental procedures, a dental specialist should be called in for more specialized treatments.

Specialists spend an extended amount of time in dental school (sometimes 5 years longer than general dentists!) to receive additional training in performing more specialized oral care.

Dental Specialists – Defined

Endodontists are specialists who treat the nerves and blood vessels inside the tooth. They perform root canals, and treat conditions caused by injury or disease.

Periodontists specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions of the gums, bone, and other tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth. They may graft gum tissue or
bone where these have been destroyed, and may place implants in the jaw to support tooth replacements.

Oral Surgeons perform advanced surgical extractions. These specialists deal with difficult extractions, such as the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. They also perform surgery on other parts of the face and mouth.

Prosthodontists create specialized dentures, bridges, and implants, and repair or replace worn, broken or missing teeth.

Pedodontists are pediatric dentists that specialize in the treatment of children from the age of one to adolescence or early adulthood. They are trained to recognize early problems, and to predict potential problems from early symptoms.

Orthodontists straighten teeth and correct the alignment of teeth and jaws. They improve both the function and the appearance of the teeth, and sometimes extract
teeth if overcrowding is a concern. Wires, rubber bands and various other devices are used to move teeth into their correct alignment, so multiple years of study are
involved in understanding the cranial bone structures, jaw ligaments, and other structural procedures.

At MadukeBulat, they don’t simply consider themselves to be your [link url=]Surrey Orthodontic Specialists[/link]; rather they pride themselves in being dental specialist with universal care. Their additional training allows them to sit on specialty examining boards, be
advisors to the BC Dental Association, and teach at UBC. And their strong desire to give back allows them to link arms (or wings!) with local charities, and support ones abroad as well.

Hard work gave them their titles; good hearts gave them their standing in the community!
